Constipation, the Silence is UGLY

Not often talked about and made fun of a lot, constipation is not a laughing matter. Ready, get set, GO sometimes translates to get ready and set and set and “cramp” (no, it is not misspelled). Serious complications arise from allowing constipation to become an everyday event. The colon is stretched, weakened and will develop polyps, cyst, tearing and can become fatal.

Here are some herbs and tonics that will get things moving.

Drink prune juice for colon constipation. Eat prunes and figs. Dried or fresh.

Drink dried dandelion leaf and or root tea. Dandelion leaf fresh in salad works too.

Castor oil on an empty stomach, 1-2 teaspoons.

Flaxseed sprinkled on your cereal or fruit loosens the bowels.

Intestinal formula number 1, is an herbal capsule, 1 a day is the best found anywhere!

Teas that are also good: Boxwood leaves, boneset, slippery elm bark, buckthorn tree bark, holly berries.

A rhubarb drink is a powerful remedy for constipation, USE sparingly!

Place 3 chopped stalk of rhubarb in the blender with 1 ½ cups of apple juice 1 tsp of honey 1 tsp of lemon zest Blend to a puree, drink 1/3 cup until finished or the bowels are loosened.

If your schedule will not allow for the preparation of these natural remedies, then consider preprepared herbal capsules such as Intestinal Formula # 1 for constipation relief naturally.
